Cave Pin Brooch

The G L O W Collection is Natalie's third collection. Taking inspiration from many of Aotearoas beautiful glow worm caves, this collection leans heavily on a completely fresh aesthetic that began to develop after her move to New Zealand in 2014. Let these pieces take you on a journey...feel immersed in the sparkle and luminescence of the world beneath the the one that we know; picture fused gold dust and lustrous freshwater pearls, all set within a landscape of textured and sometimes blackened silver.

The delightful G L O W Cave Pin Brooch - a silver hollowed form, with a fused gold interior, set with an enclosed white freshwater pearl.

Available in 2 sizes. Choose also to keep as silvery white, or oxidise for a blackened look.

Making times for this piece can vary between 1 to 7 days. Please do bear this in mind before you purchase, or contact Natalie before you order if you need this piece within a certain time frame.
Please also note, that due to the handmade nature of these items, no two brooches will look exactly the same, and the distribution of gold dust will therefore differ from piece to piece. Furthermore, as the brooches are worn, the oxidisation will gradually fade until oxidised once more. This is an integral part of the aesthetic; it changes over time.
Happy wearing!

*Natalie Salisbury Jewellery also creates this delightful brooch in other metals. Please contact her to request a quotation, or if you have any questions regarding this piece
Jewellery Care

Each piece of Natalie Salisbury Jewellery is made to last a lifetime...when cared for correctly. However, maintenance is key! Here are some useful tips for keeping those sparklies sparkly!

To ensure your new piece of jewellery remains in its best condition then clean it regularly. Grab an old toothbrush and some mild soap to brush in and around all areas of your piece.

Gold-plated pieces

Store gold-plated items separately from other jewellery when you aren't wearing them. Put your gold-plated jewellery on after applying any creams or make-up and avoid wearing them in the sea or when taking a dip in a hot tub. Try not to wear gold-plated items next to each other and if you plan to exercise or sweat then remove your plated jewellery altogether.

Black patinas

The black colour of an oxidised piece is only that deep for a short time...the black does wear away but is easy to replace! Do get in touch hereif you have questions!

Pearls and Gemstones

Store your pearl set pieces separately from all other jewellery to avoid scratches or knocks. Keep them away from high temperatures and don't get too sweaty whilst wearing them!

Avoiding knocks and bumps goes for all stone set pieces - they are prone to scratching and chipping if not looked after. Diamonds and Sapphires are durable and least affected by everyday wear, but emeralds and pearls in particular should be worn with care.
